Dr. Bill D. Albers was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was raised there and later in San Diego, California. His first profession was as a Fishery Biologist working and living in Kodiak, Alaska for several years. He was involved in the commercial fishing industry doing research with king and snow crab and later with salmon management.He became interested in the Chiropractic Profession when the first Chiropractor moved into Kodiak. It seemed that everyone in town was going to this new Doctor and getting results. Soon after he found himself in Davenport, Iowa where Palmer College of Chiropractic is located. D.D. Palmer opened the first Chiropractic School there in 1897. Palmer College is now Palmer University with Colleges in Iowa, California, and Florida. Dr. Albers met his wife, Janet, at Palmer and they both graduated with Chiropractic degrees in 1988. Their first practice was in Santa Rosa, California. After 8 years they decided to move closer to Janet’s family in Pennsylvania where she was born and raised. Their present practice in Lititz, PA began in 1998.Lititz has been a great place to raise their children. Lancaster County is now home. The family attends Grace Church in Lititz. In addition to treating patients and raising his family, Dr. Albers enjoys golfing, biking, kayaking, and white water rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter. |
